Hunter Bentley, a Kansas City native, joins Women Leaders in Sports after spending the past year as a graduate assistant for the University of Missouri – Kansas City women’s basketball team and earning her Master’s in Business Administration. 

Hunter earned her Bachelor’s degree in political science at Washburn University, where she was a member of the team for five years. While at Washburn, Hunter was a part of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. The Social Justice Series, where she and her fellow student-athletes educated themselves on matters they found important, sparked her passion for advocacy. Hunter also explored the world of politics through internships in the Governor’s office and working on campaigns. 

Hunter spends most of her free time watching Women’s Basketball and following the WNBA. She also enjoys going on walks with her dog, Nala, and playing cards with her family.
